About us
Optimum Detail is Cambridge’s vehicle enhancement and paint protection specialist. Born from a passion for fast cars and noisy engines, Optimum Detail began life as a mobile automotive detailing company; serving Cambridge and the surrounding area.
Today, Optimum Detail occupies a premises just outside of Cambridge City Centre whereby we carry out the majority of our specialist work, alongside a mobile team whom carry out valeting & client maintenance throughout Cambridgeshire.

I've known Damo at Optimum Detail for years now, but up until now, never had my car cleaned with them!I had my car cleaned inside and out today and I'll be honest, I didn't recognise it as the same car when it came back!With 2 dogs and a toddler, the back seats and the boot were, in my opinion, too far gone and scratches covering the car, I genuinely thought I'd have to get a respray. Really pleased with the job Optimum Detail did on my brand new Mini Cooper. I wanted to protect my investment and keep it looking showroom clean. I chose Damien and Optimum because I can tell this is someone who takes pride in his work and enjoys what he does. Pricing was also completely transparent and I didn't have to worry what was getting done or dealing with any upselling at any point in the process. The location is in a very safe area which is also a consideration when leaving my vehicle anywhere. If you're local, and even if you're not, I hope you'll consider Optimum Detail.
Completely transformed the beige interior leather in my car. Some of the areas looked too far gone but after Damien's magic even those came out looking essentially brand new. Years of dirt that wouldn't come off with the stuff I tried - all gone. Not cheap but you do get your money's worth.

I had my Tesla Model 3 wrapped with the Xpel Paint Protection Film recently and I have to say that the service and quality of work were outstanding! There was some paint correction required as part of the process which was also expertly addressed. Damien is a consummate professional and the quality of his work and his eye for 'detail' is exceptional. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending his services and he is quite clearly becoming the Tesla wrapping expert in Cambridgeshire, along with the more exotic marques he works on!

I'd highly recommend Optimum Detail. They managed to remove cement which a builder had splashed on my relatively new car. The work they did was spotless - the car looked brand new again, and the service was fantastic. Excellent value for money too.
Damien did a fantastic job on my new Caravelle - ceramic coat, hydrophobic top layer and protective pain film on rear bumper sill. Would recommend him to anyone without hesitation!
I can’t recommend Damien enough. I took my bike to him today to have some protection film put on the tank. I was extremely nervous about how visible the film would be, and how neat the finishing would be, but I’m happy to say that I am absolutely amazed at the job that Damien has done. He completely understood that he was working on my pride and joy and paid just as much, if not more, care and attention to detail as I would have myself. I am one very happy customer!
Damien worked on both my 4 series BMW and my C63 Mercedes and the attention to detail on both was excellent.

I had a new car protection detail on my BMW in January 2018 and my car still looks incredible nine months later.
It stays cleaner looking for longer and when it comes to washing, it is quick and easy because the ceramic coating is so good at repelling dirt and debris. The paintwork has also resisted swirling from washing.
Damien has done an excellent job applying the Gyeon products in the correct manner so that the finish is super long lasting. His price was very reasonable too.

I have been to Optimum Detail Ltd on several occasions where my car has had a valet and detail wash. Damien done such a lovely job with great attention to detail. You really get more than your money’s worth with his services.I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
I've used the services of Optimum Detail Ltd. on several occasions now and I would willingly recommend their services to any potential new customer. Damien, the Owner, displays a real interest in his craft and appears to rank job satisfaction higher than taking money - which from the customers prospective is very much welcomed !I've used OD for Ceramic Coatings (Superb !!!), regular maintenance washes, valets and his marvellous Paint Protection Films (now they really are magic !) all of which I'd recommend 100%His studio in Over is now akin to an operating theatre as well ! In short... if you are thinking about using this Company then do so without any hesitation I'm confident that you won't be disappointed..
At relatively short notice Damien was able to fit me in for a swirl removal to try and breathe some life into a tired looking 8 year old car. Having seen him work on other, much nicer cars than mine I was pleased to see that he could achieve amazing results with a old POS (pioneer of styling, which the first generation Citroen c1 is/was) as well as fancy Mercs!
My only complaint is that the polish hasn't added any horsepower! Would definitely recommend Optimum Detail to anyone.

Brought my Fiesta st in for swirl and hologram removal,and gtechnic c1,c5,g1,Damian has worked miracles with my car such attention to detail would recommend to anyone to use optimum detail
